In the past, the surgical position pad was handmade by the medical staff with sponges, soft cloth and other materials. Although it can slightly meet the needs of the operation, the anti-bacterial property is greatly reduced due to the overflow of sweat and blood stains during the operation. Moreover, the sponges are relatively soft and have poor support, so it is difficult to meet the needs of some operations. The body position pads of different materials, such as foam, foam particles and inflatable, have been derived. In recent years, with the continuous development of science and technology, silicone and gel body position pads have emerged.
The gel body position pad has excellent softness and support performance, with compression and shock absorption, and can disperse the pressure to the maximum extent. Gel is favored by operating rooms of major hospitals because of its excellent characteristics such as softness, support, resilience, non-toxic and tasteless. Many first-class and second-class first-class hospitals have started to use gel surgical position pads, continuing this development trend. In the near future, gel position pads will replace similar operating room medical products with their absolute advantages. We actively explored the gel surgical position pad, so as to achieve good and effective position fixation and facilitate the operation.
